We had a gift exchange among the girls at the locker area yesterday morning for the may june and july baby girls, namely eileen me twin and serene. Eileen didn’t come to school (partly cos she said she hadn’t finished reading harry potter and didn’t want to come to school and have people spoil the story for her. Haha!) Thanks so much girls for the charles and keith voucher! Haha. Was super touched when peilian rmb that I said I liked a bag from there but she didn’t know exactly which one so she bought the voucher instead. Even though the present is like super belated but it’s still SUPER appreciated. (: oh and serene’s reaction when she got her present was super classic, she screamed so loudly and it was so embarrassing cos there were classes going on around us. And it was super funny yesterday when all us girls crowded around one of the brown tables to write 4 birthday cards, writing in all directions. Haha. thank you peilian for being the birthday coordinator this time. haha.

Ok I must blog about one of the classic Chandra moments which absolutely kills me. Haha. Last Thursday before econs test we (Eileen derrick and i) went to macs to eat and study while peilain serene Chandra and john went for cell. Eileen and I were too lazy to carry our bags to macs so we left it in the locker. When we left macs this is what happened:
Chandra: eh mel where’s your bag?
Me: (playing along) *gasps loudly* oh my gosh I left it inside!
Eileen: (laughing already and I thought Chandra would get it)
Chandra: (doesn’t get it and rushes inside to look for my bag. Then comes out with confused look on his face) don’t have…
Eileen and i: (laughing so hard we could barely stand. You would’ve thought Chandra would realise we were pulling his leg)
Derrick: quick go ask the counter!
Chandra: (rushes inside towards the counter)
Eileen and i: (rush in after him, STILL LAUGHING)
Chandra: (to person at the counter) did you see a white bag…? (I was carrying my white nike bag that day)
Eileen: sorry it’s a misunderstanding… (both of us are still laughing as we drag Chandra outside)
Chandra: (once outside) mel your bag…? (still not getting it despite the fact that Eileen and I and everyone else is laughing like mad already)
Peilian: didn’t you realise they left it in the locker?
Chandra: (taking a few seconds to register) ORH you bluff me arh?
HAHAHA. Eileen and I couldn’t stop laughing all the way to school. Chandra is so retarded I tell you. Next time I’ll blog about all the stupid things he has done, the vegetable incident, asking regina to be his dance partner to rapture and the tofu joke. Haha.
1. Wearing my badge every morning and taking it off everyday after school. I’ll never ever do that again. Even now I sometimes button up my collar in the mornings cos I’m just so used to it. Haha. (:
2. Doing sc duty with Melvin on Fridays. Every Friday 10.30-11.00 melvin and I will be behind the counter singing at the top of our lungs ultra random songs with cheam providing music with his guitar. It was always truly a time where I could just forget about all the stress and problems I was facing (with studies or council or anything else) and just let go. Haha. Plus everyone knows how funny Melvin is and what a nice voice cheam has (when he isn’t screaming). Haha.
3. The first ever steamboat we had as a council at marina bay. That was the only time I truly felt our one council spirit (other than during ltc) where everyone was happy and having a good time getting to know each other better. WOW. Just thinking about it now makes me smile.
4. All the late night ban mian dinners at broadway. Gosh I haven’t tasted or seen ban mian in like ages. Haha.
5. And of course all the friends I’ve made in council. All the laughing cheering crying stressing working together. The only people who truly understood what i was going through. (:
Things I don’t miss about council:
1. Staying back till 10 or later at night doing council stuff like painting banners (teachers’ day period) then going home and getting scolded.
2. No longer having to screw up my studies for council. I’m gonna come back for college day next year with at least 3As I swear.
3. All the arguing and disagreements and screw ups.
Argh so many that I won’t mention. it's so upsetting that at the end of the day there are more things i dislike about council than like. oh well. I think it’s just sad that everything came to light (for me at least) only at the end of my council term when I more or less fully understood what was going on in my council. If you realise I keep saying MY council, not just council cos it’ll always be something I’m proud to be a part of despite everything. and i will forget all the bad things (and i don't mean the stress) about council and only rmb the good times.
The best thing about council being over will have to be more time spent with my class. To laugh at chandra’s spasticity, gossip and laugh with the girls, being able to walk out with amos peilian weiqin manda and josh… (: and of course being able to go home and nap and study. Haha. 3 As!
